Yanders Law alum and Springfield, MO native Trevon Brazile has officially made his NBA debut.
Springfield, Missouri’s own Trevon Brazile officially made his NBA debut last night, playing 18 minutes for the Denver Nuggets against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The game featured multiple All-Stars and a pair of MVPs in a contest between two of the NBA's top teams a season ago. Still, Brazile’s play during summer league, preseason, and practice seems to have earned him a spot on the floor as the Nuggets begin their 2026-27 campaign.
Brazile had four points and an impressive 12 rebounds, which led the team.
Trev played his high school ball at Parkview High in Springfield before transferring to Kickapoo High his senior year, where he won a state title with one of the top squads to ever come out of Springfield. He played the majority of his college ball at Arkansas and was selected 35th overall by the Nuggets in the NBA Draft last June.
He played AAU for Yanders Law Basketball, whose crest he has tattooed on his shoulder. Shoutout.
This isn’t the first time the Nuggets and Thunder have seen what the rookie can do. Below are highlights from his performance in summer league a few months ago, when he exploded for 32 points.
We expect the Nuggets to continue utilizing Trevon as a versatile “three-and-D” threat off of the bench. If he continues to pursue rebounds as aggressively as he did last night, his role should continue to grow.
We are excited to see where our guy goes from here. The sky is the limit in the mile-high city for Trevon!
